Fine Decorative Painting and Repair
Julia Noonan
The photos here are from my annual trip to the Carlyle Showroom in Manhattan, repairing all the faux work that has been damaged by normal wear and also by rolling racks of designer clothing. It involves dirt, broken plaster and sometimes water damage. Here are a few shots of work done there. The Challenge: to figure out and duplicate the original finishes that were done years ago by a major design firm, and match them so no one can tell the difference.
In all cases the work required plastering and reshaping of damaged edges, and then duplication of the former finish to match.
