My wife had a stroke a couple of months back and had to be hospitalized for a long period of time. During the first couple of weeks I was fielding 20 phone calls a day giving the same update to 20 different people. I thought there has got to be a better way. I saw the pamphlet for Caring Bridge at the hospital and thought I would look into this. They provide a web page for your loved one for a small donation. I can't tell you enough how much weight this has taken off my shoulders to make sure everyone gets the information they want when they want it. There is also a guest book for everyone to sign and leave little get wells or I miss you notes. You can also post pictures, links to other websites and a daily journal. This is a great website for people who are in the same situation as myself with a loved one in the hospital and needing to get their status out to family and friends.
