ThreeVillage Music Shoppe

Now in our 21st year, Three Village Music is a full service music shop that can fill almost any of your musical needs. We offer private lessons in our four teaching studios. We are authorized dealers for the Conn-Selmer company, offering student to professional level band and orchestra instruments. Some of the brands we carry Bach, Conn, King, Selmer, Armstrong and Glaesel. We have an on site repair shop with a quick turn around time on all your urgent instrument repair needs. We have the largest selection of sheet music and books in the area and we rent all band and string instruments for students.

Our store hours are Monday to Friday 10AM to 7PM and Saturday 10AM to 5PM. Studio hours for private lessons are more flexible and can go both earlier and later. As authorized dealers for Conn-Selmer, Inc., we sell all our new instruments at 40% off list price. We also offer free one year service in our store on all of Conn-Selmer products we sell. Carla Field – Piano and Voice Lessons

Carla Field studied voice and piano at the New England Conservatory of Music and theory at Radcliffe College (including music theory under Paul Hindemith). Carla then studied French language, literature music at the Sorbonne in Paris. Carla completed he studies in voice technique and repertoire with mark Raphael, professor at the Royal College of Music, London. I addition  she studied piano with Colin Kingsley, harpsichord with Stanislaus Heller and organ with Richard Harvey.

Carla made her debut in London and subsequently pursued and career mainly in recital work, oratorio, contemporary works and early opera. She gave many recitals in London and the provinces. Carla sang for the French Institute, German Institute, London Lieder Society, St James Piccadilly, St. Martin in the Fields, Hempstead Music Society, Purcell Room and the Queen Elizabeth Tudor Hall.  She performed as a soloist for the London Oratorio Society and the Associated Synagogues of Great Britain. Carla sang ad hoc for the BBC Singers. Her Operatic roles have included Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneus and Ottavia in Monteverdi’s L’Incorronazione de Poppea. For five years she performed the High Holiday cantor for the Cardiff Reform Synagogue.

For the last decade of his life , Carla was Professor Raphael’s associate, teaching both vocal technique and repertoire, in the United Kingdom.

At present Carla teaches privately in the New York area.
