Dorine has been an interior designer for over 25 years.  Her design experience began at Dekor Furniture in 1983, where she was mentored and gained the experience necessary to be accepted in the American Society of Interior Designers in 1987.  When the owners of Dekor retired in 1988, Dorine joined the design staff of Contemporary Living in Copiague, a high profile contemporary firm.  In 1991, she decided it was time to broaden her knowledge of traditional and eclectic design, and accepted a position with Ethan Allen in Lake Grove.  Then in 1999, she opened her own business, Dorine Kobert Interiors, and became affiliated with PYW Interiors in Mount Sinai.  In  2004, she left PYW and relocated to a home office in Port Jefferson, where she successfully carries on her business.
